I’ve been thinking a lot about aliveness …maybe because it was my birthday, but also because I remembered some things this last month and it occurred to me that maybe you would love this practice to reflect, too.
So join me…with a favorite cup of tea or coffee and your Thrive Journal if you have one or grab a piece of paper and pen to reflect on these 4 questions as an end of month Thriving Reflection. (Side note, this practice is also fabulous to mark the end of a week, a project, or milestone.)
What did it look like to thrive this month?
What can I celebrate?
What am I ready to release?
What does my heart want me to know?
Here is what those prompts revealed for me:
What did it look like?
Empowered, vitality, sexy, strong. Dancing and laughing. Saying YES to my energy, allowing myself to be ME. Trusting my body. Showing up for what matters most..
I “did” a lot in this last month, but what struck me was the presence I allowed myself to experience.
It is as if I walked through a portal to a deeper embodiment of my aliveness.

What can I celebrate?
Amazing devotion to my body. 4 weeks, 12 strength workouts, and 8 cardio sessions later - I am so proud of myself.
Getting out of my own head to celebrate my birthday with friends, even if they are new friends. And making my reality of dancing with my husband and friends on our terrace a reality.
Launching this year’s birthday ripple to support HER Resiliency Center and raising $200 so far (there are still 2 weeks left if you want to join us to get or gift a Thrive Journal.)
What am I ready to release?
Gah. Expectations and impatience. Wishing for results on a certain timeline.
What does my heart want me to know?
It is safe to be me. I can trust me. I am loved just as I am.
Aliveness isn’t only about the rainbows and unicorn moments. Aliveness lives in the ups and downs, the embodiment, and the living fully awake of the day to day.
The vitality of aliveness is my antidote.
If you love this Thriving Reflection practice, it is one of the monthly practices in the Thrive Journal – which you can buy for yourself or gift to a friend HERE. $10 of each journal bought *until September 13th* will be donated to HER Resiliency Center as part of this birthday ripple. Use code THRIVELOVE for free shipping. Get or gift a journal HERE. And all Thrive Journalers will be invited to seasonal experiences - the first one will be for the fall equinox on September 22nd.
And stay tuned, because I’ve got several exciting things I’m working on for the coming months, including a virtual gathering coming on Monday, September 30th to take this practice one step further and set embodied intentions for the new month with a yin yoga and guided practice to illuminate what matters most.
And save the date for 30 days of Thriving in November.
I’d love to hear how your own Thriving Reflections goes. You can comment below or message me.

Thanks for sharing. I actually did this last night and it was nice to reflect on the past month and celebrate my devotion to my practice along with releasing things that are out of my control. The idea of allowing is nice, but to actually ALLOW things to flow without resistance is so freeing.
